Recorded in Montreux, Switzerland, in November
1973, Burn was the first album to feature the
Mk 3 line-up of Deep Purple, with David
Coverdale and Glenn Hughes joining the band.
Released worldwide in February 1974, it went
top ten in America nad Britain. Many of the
tracks went straight into the live set, and
remain amongst the most popular the band has
ever done. This remaster breathes new life
into the studio material; the epic blues-based
Mistreated, the soulful Sail Away, the
inventive percussive drive of You fool No One
and Burn itself have never sounded better.
Bonus material includes a rare guitar
instrumental b-side, and four powerful new
digital mixes from the 16 track masters.
